I am eternally grateful that Jim and Carol Kemple, and Bill and Mary Ann Sorensen chose to move to the west part of Las Vegas in the 1970s. Little did they know then, and maybe still don’t know today, how much those decisions changed my life. Because of those two moves, I met two girls who would become my best friends, confidants, and partners in silliness. I was a lonely gal before Sherri Kemple Davis and Christie Sorensen Traasdahl came into my life. I didn’t fit in with the girls in my ward or neighborhood. In fact, since we lived in the middle of the desert, I had no neighborhood. These two wonderful friends lifted my spirits, kept me active in church, and ensured I didn’t get too full of myself. We have laughed, rejoiced, cried, and mourned over the years. We don’t see one another often, but all it takes is a phone call, and that friendship is rekindled and renewed. I shudder to think what junior high and high school would have been like without these two lifelong friends and sisters in Christ. They will eternally have a special place in my heart. I am eternally grateful to Christie and Sherri. #storieswithcharlene #givethanks
