Books, Books, and More Books!

This! I mean, I am grateful for audiobooks that I can listen to while driving, crocheting, doing dishes, walking, etc. But there is something about staring at shelves of books that tickles my senses. There is something about holding a book in my hands and opening its cover and leafing through its pages that titillates my imagination. There is something about the smell of paper and ink that sends my mind to its happy place. And there is something about knowing I have shelves and shelves of books that I could take down and read at any time. Audiobooks are wonderful, but real books are magical. Staring at them and making plans to read each one fills a gap in my soul that staring at my phone with its audiobook subscriptions can never do.
